What a record-breaking turnout! We recently hosted our much-anticipated annual Christmas Market, and it exceeded every expectation. The halls were packed with wonderful handmade goods and the spirit of Christmas was in the air. Dive in with us as we recap our best market yet!
We are still glowing from the success of our 2025 Christmas Market. It was a true testament to the love and dedication carried out by our residents, staff, Thornbury community and beyond. Here is what made the day so special:
The Workshop SHowcase:
From delicious treats and organic loaves handmade by our Bakery, to the vibrant winter crop harvested by the Land team, our workshops outdid themselves. The Craft and Textiles stalls were stocked to the brim with fantastic handmade keyrings, felt bowls, candles, earrings, mugs, and so much more. The Cookery put together their famous Chutneys and scrumptious cakes. It was a wonderful presentation of everyone’s hard work throughout the year, and we want to give a huge thank you to both the workshop teams and residents for putting your all into the market stalls.
It was incredibly special seeing our workshops’ creations sitting side-by-side with the work of local artists and businesses. This beautiful blend of Hatch-made treasures and Thornbury’s finest crafts, from handmade balms to intricate woodwork, highlighted the range of incredibly talented individuals who blessed us with their creations during market day. It felt like a true celebration of the creative heartbeat of Thornbury.
The Christmas Raffle:
The sheer volume of prizes donated by kind souls across Thornbury and the wider community helped us reach new fundraising heights, all while bringing everyone together for a moment of shared celebration. It was so special seeing everyone who came to the market, all under one roof in Whitsun Hall to enjoy the excitement of the raffle. We have included a list below of all the wonderful organisations that donated to the raffle, and we can’t thank you enough for their generosity.
